Take Sloepennetwerk with you

Plan your route along nodes, discover stops along the way and let the app tell you where to go next.

How it works

1. Download the app

On first start the app prepares all nodes, routes and stops on your device in one clear step.

2. Tap the nodes

Tap a node to start and then tap the next one. The intermediate nodes are added automatically based on the shortest route.

3. Start and go

More in the app

Routes without a signal

All nodes, routes and stops are stored inside the app itself. No signal for a while? Your route stays visible and you can keep planning. Only the map background is loaded online.

Spoken directions

Nodes and stops are announced out loud, so you can keep your phone in your pocket.

The map your way

Choose which stops you see: restaurants, accommodation, museums, windmills, charging points and more.

Scan a QR code

A route from a business or a leaflet opens straight in the app when you scan its QR code.

Share and export routes

Download your route as a GPX file and use it on your own cycling computer or navigation device.

On all your devices

Sign in with just your email address, no password needed, and your routes are waiting for you everywhere.

Dutch, English and German

The app follows your device language; you can also set the language yourself.

Updated daily

The Route Network team updates the nodes and routes daily. Choose Update data to load the latest information.

User guide: the app in short

Tap a node to start a route. Then tap the next node. The intermediate nodes are automatically added to the route based on the shortest route. Tap the last selected node to remove it from the route again. Tap an intermediate node to remove the route from that node. In addition to nodes, stops have also been selected for you. They are marked with a purple icon. You can also include them in the route by tapping them, then tapping the name and then tapping Add to route.

There are stops to make your trip more enjoyable, such as overnight stays, restaurants and sightseeing locations. You can decide which stops you want to see on the map. Choose Filter in the top-left menu. There are two types of stops: stops with a purple border can be added to the route by tapping them while creating a route. Stops with a blue border indicate that there is something to see, such as a windmill, or a facility, such as a charging point. You cannot add these to a route.

Once you have created the route, you can start it by tapping Start at the bottom center. If you have not yet created a route and still tap Start, you will get a menu to create or choose a route anyway. After tapping Start, the cockpit becomes visible with a map that moves along with you. At the top you see the next node and the node after that. When approaching a node or a stop, it is announced with spoken text. You can turn this off in Settings in the top-left menu.

To save your routes, you need an account so that your routes can be stored safely and preserved should anything happen to your phone. It is also possible to use your routes on multiple phones. Choose Account in the top-left menu to create an account or log in with your email address. After logging in, you can save your route by tapping View route at the bottom left of the screen and then tapping Save route at the bottom of the screen.

This app consists of thousands of nodes, connections between nodes and routes specially created for you. These are updated daily by the Route Network team. Choose Update data in the top-left menu to load the latest updated data into the app. You can adjust the app to your preferences via Settings in the top-left menu.

We use your location to show your position on the map, so you always know where you are relative to the route network. We also use it to show routes and hospitality venues near you. You can change this permission at any time via your device settings.

Why is the app free?

This free app is fully funded by participating hospitality businesses. You can contribute to the development of this app by visiting those businesses and showing them this app. As long as enough businesses participate, we can continue developing the app.
