6. Noordeinderplas/ zwemwater

Op warme dagen is de verleiding groot om in open water te zwemmen of varen. Dit kan niet overal. Maar de Nieuwkoopse Plassen, waar de Noordeinderplas onderdeel van is, behoort tot een van de ruim 40 officiële zwemwaterlocaties die Rijnlands gebied telt. Op deze locaties onderzoeken we regelmatig of water geschikt is als zwemwater en brengen advies uit aan provincie Zuid-Holland die toezichthouder is op de zwemwaterkwaliteit. Met de metingen van Rijnland en Rijkswaterstaat bepaalt de provincie of de zwemwaterkwaliteit aan de gestelde eisen voldoet en geeft waarschuwingen of een negatief zwemadvies.
